Sudden fare changes

Airlines adjust their fares (sometimes hourly) to maximize their revenue.

In very broad terms, the airfare fluctuations are somewhat like the stock market—the demand at any given moment will influence the market prices. These changes are made by complex algorithms employed by air carriers to increase their yields. Consolidators and travel agencies have no part in this process.

We, in turn, have set up an infrastructure that will reliably convey to you the current price levels so you can make the best informed decisions when planning your trip.

In our experience, more often than not, airfares tend to go up the closer you get to your intended departure date. This is why we generally recommend securing your air tickets well in advance.
