Liquids, gels, creams and pastes

Liquids, gels, creams and pastes are subject to special rules: only containers up to 3.4 oz / 100 ml may go into your carry-on bags, larger containers must be packed in your checked baggage items.

The US Transportation and Security Administration (or TSA) limits the amount of liquids, gels, creams and pastes that travelers may bring with them into the cabin of the aircraft. Passengers are allowed to have a quart-sized bag of travel-sized containers of up to 3.4 oz / 100 ml each. Regardless of product amount inside, larger containers must be transported in checked luggage. (Exemptions are granted for medications and infant/child nourishments).

The TSA recommends to separate the liquids, gels, creams and pastes from the rest of the contents of your carry-on items, grouping them all in a clear resealable bag or Ziploc bag to avoid delays at airport security checkpoints.
