Carry-on baggage (also referred to as cabin or hand luggage) is brought by passengers into the cabin of the aircraft and is usually stored in overhead bins or under passenger seats.

Size, Weight, and Count: While most air carriers will allow one carry-on bag and a personal item (such as a purse or laptop bag) policies vary from one airline to another and may also differ on different flights offered by the same company. Passengers should always check the baggage policies of the air carriers on their itinerary.

Prohibited items: Some items (such as liquids, gels, sharp objects, explosives, firearms, etc.) may not be allowed on aircraft under any circumstances or, otherwise, have to meet special requirements in order to be transported by air.
