What is my card’s security code?

Your payment card’s security code is a 3 or 4-digit non-embossed number printed on the physical card. The security code is NOT the card’s PIN code used at ATMs or point-of-sale terminals!

Your card’s security code (sometimes referred to as CVV, for Card Verification Value, or CID, for Card Identification Number) is necessary to complete your online payment. This added security feature was introduced by card issuers to ensure nobody but you can spend your money.

ScholarTrip has also implemented a special payment verification protocol designed to protect against fraudulent activity by persons unauthorized to make transactions in your name or with your account details. We take security very seriously.
